The first few EULCID rehearsals were Mike Law on guitar and vocals, Kurt Ballou on drums and Travis Shettel on bass and vocals. The trio put together some early songs very quickly like What To Do With Absent Space, Haler Fixer and Five Months, OK. But just as quickly scheduling conflicts made it difficult to get together so Chris Raiche and Matt Redmond were brought in within weeks of each other. Law, Redmond and Raiche, would become the core of EULCID for the next five years. A few months later they would document the songs started with Ballou and Shettel with the Techniques of Neutralization cassette demo and an East Coast tour sharing dates with bands like Cave In, Ire, Discount and Piebald to name a few. It was a good first tour...

Bio- The band with the intentionally obtuse name, EULCID was founded in 1997 by Mike Law and active touring until 2002. A brief return to the studio in 2003, a 2020 remaster of The Wind Blew All the Fires Out and three "new" songs recorded in 2003 during sessions to finish Hope: And Songs To Sing.
